This homemade salsa recipe is cilantro free, yet full of heat and flavor.

Ingredients
  • 2 jars of canned, whole tomatoes, drained
  • 3 – 4 jalepenos (Mine were sliced and frozen from last year’s garden harvest, but you can also buy a can of jalepenos. Just don’t use the pickled kind.)
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced into chunks
  • 1 ½ tsp. garlic salt
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. lime juice (You can substitute with lemon juice if necessary.)
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
  2. Serve fresh with tortilla chips, or wait a few hours for the flavors to blend fully. Refrigerate the leftovers, assuming you have any left! :-)
